The competition for the Peace Place at The Hague is one of the most important international competitions of the period, in scope to be compared with the Chicago Tribune Tower competition of 1922, drawing entries from everywhere. First prize went to L.M.Cordonnier. Other projects by G.Magni, Otto Wagner, E.Saarinen, H.P.Berlage, F.Schwechten, W.Kromhout, J.Puig Cadafalch, J.Eklund, E.Cuijpers, etc. The 32 pp. introduction contain the history of the Carnegie Foundation, program of the competition , report of the jury, and short biographies of participating architects. - First few text pages a bit paperspotted, otherwise a fine copy of this splendid publication.
